Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Nume Notes (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Nume Notes iOS app.

  1. Summary

You agree not to:

  • Your notes/content: We do not store your note content on our servers. Your notes and most app data are stored in your iCloud (CloudKit).

  • What we do store: We store limited usage and billing metadata (for AI Credits, subscriptions, fraud prevention, and support), and we store Source titles (e.g., titles you create for sources).

  • AI features: When you choose to use AI features, we send only the inputs you provide (such as text you type/paste, an image you select, a voice transcript, or a link) to AI providers to generate results.

  • Account deletion: When you delete your account, we delete most server-side metadata linked to your account. We may retain purchase and subscription records linked to your anonymous identifier for accounting and audit purposes, and we keep a record that your account was deleted.

  1. Information We Collect

2.1 Content Stored In iCloud (Not On Our Servers)

Nume Notes stores your core content in your iCloud account using CloudKit, such as your notes and related app data. We do not receive or store that content on our own servers.

2.2 Information We Store On Our Servers (Firebase/Firestore)

To operate features like AI Credits, purchases, subscriptions, and basic app analytics, we store the following categories of data in our backend (Firebase/Firestore):

  • Account Identifiers

    • Firebase Auth identifier (anonymous and/or Sign in with Apple / Google)


  • AI Credits

    • AI Credits balance and changes (e.g., credits purchased, gifted, onboarding credits, credits used)

    • Credit usage records (operation type, timestamp, and related metadata)

    • Promo code redemptions (code used, credits granted, timestamp)


  • Purchases and Subscriptions

    • Records of AI credit pack purchases and subscription purchases (product identifiers, price/currency when available, timestamps)

    • Subscription status/history metadata (e.g., active/cancelled/expired, entitlement period dates)

    • Renewal / initial-credit grant tracking to avoid double-granting

    • A deletion marker record in deletedAccounts (anonymous identifier + deletion timestamp)


  • App Usage Metrics

    • Aggregated counts/metrics such as Source/Tool counts and onboarding analytics events


  • Source Titles

    • Titles/names you set for Sources (stored as metadata)


  • Diagnostics

    • Crash and performance diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics (see “Analytics and crash reporting” below)

We do not intentionally store your note body/content on our servers.

2.3 Information Processed For AI Features

If you use AI features, we process information you choose to submit, which may include:

  • Text you input or paste

  • Images you select or capture

  • Voice transcripts derived from your recordings

  • Links/URLs you provide

We use this information to return AI-generated outputs inside the app.

3. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate Nume Notes features (including AI Credits and subscription features)

  • Process purchases and entitlement status

  • Prevent fraud/abuse and enforce limits (e.g., credit usage integrity)

  • Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues

  • Monitor app reliability and performance

  1. Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use:

  • Firebase Analytics to understand app usage (events and aggregated metrics).

  • Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and stability issues.

These services may collect device/app information (such as device model, OS version, app version, and crash logs) to help us maintain the app.

  1. Payments

Payments are handled via Apple In-App Purchase and managed through RevenueCat. We store purchase metadata (like product identifiers and timestamps) to provide entitlements and maintain your AI Credits history. Payment details (like your full card information) are handled by Apple and are not shared with us.

  1. Sharing & Disclosure

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help operate the app:

    • Firebase (Google) for authentication, database storage, analytics, and crash reporting

  • RevenueCat for purchase/subscription management

    • AI providers (currently Google Gemini and OpenAI) when you use AI features


  • Legal/Compliance when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

  1. AI Provider Training & Retention

We do not control how third-party AI providers use or retain data by default. We aim to send only the inputs you provide for the requested AI feature. AI providers may process data according to their own terms and policies.

  1. Children’s Privacy

Nume Notes may be used by children (e.g., 4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent where required by law.

If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, contact eesa@numenotes.com and we will work to delete it where applicable.

  1. Data Retention

We retain server-stored metadata only as long as needed for:

  • Operating the app (credits balance/history, subscriptions, fraud prevention)

  • Legal/accounting obligations

  • Support and debugging

You can request deletion of server-side account data by contacting eesa@numenotes.com. Note that content stored in iCloud is controlled by your Apple ID and iCloud settings.

If you use the in-app Delete Account option, we delete most server-side metadata tied to your account (such as credit usage, onboarding analytics, promo code redemptions, and Source title telemetry). We may retain purchase and subscription records linked to your anonymous identifier to meet legal/accounting obligations and to support audits (for example, refunds, chargebacks, and financial record-keeping). We also keep a deletion marker in deletedAccounts.

  1. Your Choices

  • iCloud Content: You can manage your iCloud data in iOS Settings and iCloud.

  • AI Features: You can choose not to use AI features; AI inputs are only sent when you initiate an AI action.

  • Analytics: iOS provides device-level settings that can limit certain analytics (availability may vary).

  1. International Users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to protect information in transit and at rest.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” above when changes are made.
